A Better School Lunch
Here are some ideas on how to make your child's school lunch healthier: Make sandwiches using whole-wheat bread. If your child likes mayonnaise as a sandwich spread, choose the low-fat or nonfat variety. Chicken and turkey are good, lower-fat sandwich choices. Besides the sandwich, pack some baby carrots or cherry tomatoes, as well as fruit. A healthy alternative to soda as a lunch beverage is nonfat chocolate milk or plain milk.
